Movie Masti!!

“Do u want to go to college?”, my friend would ask riding his bike … looking at me thru the rear view mirror.
“Naaah, what about u??”,
“Naah… Chal lets go watch some movie…”
and we would head straight to the theaters to watch our matinée idols on the 70 mm screens.. The best way to kill time if u ask me is to watch a movie.. Balcony tickets would cost us just 45/- or 50/- at the max. And popcorns and soft drinks at the interval would cost another 20 – 30 more.

But now It seems totally different to the Bangalore I once knew…

There are so many Malls and multiplexes everywhere that No body even wants to go the local cinema halls anymore. I really miss most of the cinema halls.. which were the only source of entertainment during my Enngi days..
Some good theaters like Plaza in Brigade road, Swagath in Jaynagar, Geetanjali in Malleshwaram and Sujata in Rajajinagar have stopped functioning. There are many other theaters which may follow suit.
For a mojor movie buff like me.. its really sad to see Most of the movie halls been converted into shopping complexes or office buildings.
