Loved and lost!

I have been very lucky, as I have had some really wonderful people in my life. Some of them I am in touch with and some others whom I’m unfortunately not in touch with. Few who really made a difference in my life and a few others who left me with some very fond memories which Ill never be able to part with.

This blog is dedicated to all those wonderful people I am not in touch with, who made me laugh when I was sad, lift my spirits whenever I was down and blue, who have inspired me and supported me, and to those whom I’ve been able to share my secrets to although being complete strangers to me.

Shruthi: My best buddy from school days.. I have been trying to get your contact number or e-mail id or your house address since long. Man we really had some great times.. Especially the basketball matches.. Miss them all :) . Tried to get your contact through common friends.. But even they have no clue about you.. I was hoping that I would get to see you at least in the school re-union party we had 2 yrs back.. But you dint turn up for the re-union either. Where are u gal?? I even searched on Orkut to find you.. but couldn find ya there also :).. If incase someone reading this blog knows Shruthi Swaminathan .. Please please let me know.

Sir: A wonderful teacher and a nice gentleman. I have to thank you for building so much of confidence in me. I remember the days when I was ashamed of my height. I was the tallest in the class and used to feel very odd about it.. It was only when you selected me to lead the band did I realize that it was only because of my height. I will never be able to forget you. Thanks for giving me a chance to prove myself. I can never forget the day you passed away, It was the day I was supposed to start my first rehearsal for Independence day celebrations and I never even got a chance to thank you. I know your blessings will always there for your students. And Sir, I still haven forgotten how to play “Mere sapno ki Rani” on flute :). Thank you very much!

Rage: Hmm well.. We have had some really good times and few bad moments as well.. I just want you to know that you were a very special friend to me.. and I will always treasure the good times we both have had. A lot has changed now but I am not blaming the time/ you / myself for it.. Yeah I did have a lot of questions in my mind which I really wanted to ask you about.. But I realized that a lot has changed and its better to leave them unanswered. I am sorry if I have hurt you at any time.. If back then I was acting very indifferent it was because there was something that was bothering me which I couldn’t share with you as I was afraid it would spoil a lot of other relationships. The reason why I am telling you this now is maybe because I know you wouldn’t be reading my blog anyway. And in case you somehow come across this blog please pretend that you never read it at the first place and I also want you to know that you were really a great friend and I never actually got to tell you this when we were so good to each other.. The long walks and all the silly fights and everything will always be cherished more than anything else. Whatever happened is for the good! Wishing you a very happy future!

Coder mama: Rava dosas, Rain, Pizzas, Hum Tum song are some of the things which are like triggers to remind me of you. Well I would have known you for just 2-3 months and we got along so well. Still cant believe we shared some secrets which I wouldn have even shared wit my best friends. That might be because you were the typical Scorpion who could understand others problems however complicated it might be. And at times you would just know what I am thinking about and what I am missing. Donno what went wrong ...but if I could turn back time I would have probably tried a lil hard to not let go of you.

Sush: Hi Dear I know you would read this sometime soon. Although I am very much in touch with you I still miss you man! I always carry the letter you gave me. You know every time I read it, I feel so good about myself. Actually you know what I really wish we could have been good friends right from our college days. Not many people understand you. Infact I too had this impression that you were too serious and that we would never get along. But you are totally opposite of what I had thought.. U are a sweetheart, although you never go out of ur way to keep in touch with ur friends.. I know u are the kinds who will never forget old friends easily. And the best part is we both share this wonderful telepathy.. I know you will totally agree about this! :)

Phantom: :) Cant believe you actually save all my mails in a seperate folder.. You are just too sweet to me yaar.. All the time!!.. I really dont understand how someone can be so sweet .. I mean all the poems you wrote to me.. all the mails...cards..everything.. Infact sometimes I feel you shower more love on me than how much I actually deserve. Thanks for always being so nice to me!!

Vizz: Well I am always in touch with you but just feel like writing in something for you too :) You know how much you mean to me don’t you..? Well yeah I keep telling you how much I miss you in all my mails. Will always be there for you. If there is something bothering me or even if it is something silly / exciting the first person I share it with is you and Dumma. You guys are amazing..!! Love you!

Well.. I used to always say "Nothing lasts forever" .. but I was so wrong.. coz Memories do last forever...!!

Funny Dream

I had this funny dream last night.. hehe kinda bizarre actually. I am running with great difficulty.. something was wrong with my leg apparently and I am thrashing about, struggling hard and somehow managing to run on this deserted murky side road (don’t remember what I was running away from) and then before I could even realize I have reached to the end of the road then I just get thrown out of the world..(yeah I know …just like that) into the open space and I go sailing about in the freezing space. It wasn actually scary. I kept trying to figure out what ever happened to the gravitational force which was supposed to keep me on the land?? The best part of the dream is that while I out there in the space I was repenting for being such a numb skull in my school days that I never (point of fact) paid much attention to what the gravitational force actually is? Is it something like a pullin force which is pulling u down to earth or is a pushing force which is pushing u on to the earth?? And then I was hoping that I wasn dead and that its my soul that’s wandering about in the space. Then to make sure I was still alive I tried to breath,.. then again I began to wonder if wandering souls also breath? I had this lengthy conversation to myself asking all stupid questions to myself all the while.

Althought I was happy to find myself on the bed while I woke up the next morning.. I made a point to anyway have a look at what gravitational force is all about so I can be sure that I don’t get thrown out into the space just like that.

Garfield and Dilbert!

I just love dilbert, Calvin and Hobbs and Garfield.
They just crack you up..!!
I absolutely adore Garfield, there are a lot of things common between me and garfield.. we both are lazy, love lasagna, sleeping and eating.

My fav Garfield quotes..
Whoever created Mondays should be dragged out into the street and shot!"
All I do is eat and sleep. Eat and sleep. Eat and sleep. There must be more to a cat's life than that. But I hope not.
I eat too much because I'm depressed, and I'm depressed because I eat too much. It's a vicious circle... that took years to perfect!

Oh no! I overslept ! I'm late ! For my nap.
This is it. I've reached the pinnacle of laziness and gluttony... How depressing. There's no place to go after you've reached the top. - hehee this one is the best!!

I guess some of the quotes in Dilbert are from the real life 'Dilbert-type-Managers'...and that makes them even more funny and absolutely hilarious. And this one is from my Boss when the HR told him that he will have to wait for 2 weeks to get two systems on the same floor ready: "Yeah that is fine, Take your time. But I need it by tomorrow!"

Here's a list of few of my fav Dilbert quotes:

Boss to Dilbert: Dilbert my PC is warm I think our fire wall is acting up.
Boss: blah blah blah about "The TTP project" Dilbert :What is TTP in The TTP project? Boss: TTP is "The TTP Project" !!

Catbert: I'm sorry i cant give references for ex employees.. but if i did it would rhyme with "MAZY LORON"
Dogbert: Nobody ever got a job by being completely honest on their resume..make ur lies bold, creative and above all, unverifiable!

D: If you spend all of your time arguing with people who are nuts, you'll be exhausted and the nuts will still be nuts.

Dogbert: Consultants have credibility because they are not dumb enough to work at your company.
Dogbert: Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days the statue.
Boss: This project is so important, we can't let things that are more important interfere with it.
Boss: What I need is a list of specific unknown problems we will encounter.
Boss: No one will believe you solved this problem in one day! We've been working on it for months. Now, go act busy for a few weeks and I'll let you know when it's time to tell them.

Hehehe... :-)
I am glad that not many people read my blogs because I know that not many people might actually agree to what I am going to write in here.

I dont know if sentencing Saddam to death is a fair verdict or not.. I also dont know if he was the breeding ground for terrorism or if he was even funding for the terrorist. I am only aware that Saddam whom they called "The Butcher of Baghdad" has been now sentenced to death. But what I dont understand is that why at the first place should Bush command his men to capture Saddam who was a ruler for his country for nearly quarter of a century and now sentence him to death? It is clear that Bush never intended to avoid a war in Iraq, a conflict which has so far claimed the lives of at least 85 American soldiers and possibly thousands of Iraqis.“F--- Saddam,” Bush said. “We’re taking him out.” March 2002. Isn't he a dictator too then?? Would he also not react in the same bewildered way as Saddam did, if he were to be captured and then sentenced to death? It is really sad that nobody is questioning Bush about this.

I believe that Saddam Hussein was a living threat to only the American national security and Mr.Bush and to no one else.

Did Saddam actually have ties with the terrorists? If he really did where is the proof? Why was he being linked with Osama??

The notion that Saddam Hussein has ties to terrorism is an article of faith among the critics of President Bush, Tony Blair and their allies. They say (argue infact) that he knew little if anything about terrorism, especially al-Qaeda. Read on to know what I found on the net, about what few of these more notable detractors had to say:

"I never believed in the link between Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda and Islamist terrorism,” - Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

“Iraq was not a breeding ground for terrorism. Our invasion has made it one,” Senator Ted Kennedy said October 16, 2003.2 “We were told Iraq was attracting terrorists from Al Qaeda. It was not.”

Even those who would be President of the United States cast doubts. "Iraq was not a terrorist haven before the invasion," Democratic candidate John Kerry told Philadelphia voters September 24. At the September 30, 2004 presidential debate, Kerry asserted, "Iraq was not even close to the center of the War on Terror before the president invaded it."

If Saddam is guilty or not guilty, I feel sentencing him to death might not be a very smart move for the US. I feel this might even turn to be hell for the Americans. Read this article and am sure you will also think about how so many people can be against the death sentence http://breakingnews.iol.ie/news/story.asp?j=200469406&p=zxx47xyyz
